Project Play launches Alexandria Plays! A new playground mapping website for Alexandria...

      Play where? Play how? Play NOW! Project Play has launched a mobile-friendly website to help parents and caregivers find places for young children to play in and around Alexandria. The site lets you search near your location for all the known playspaces and tells a little about what you can find at each one. The site also provides guidance on the types of play that can expand children’s minds, aid in socialization and promote physical development.

Project Play is part of the Alexandria Childhood Obesity Action Network (A-COAN) of the Partnership for a Healthier Alexandria. http://www.Alexandriaplays.org was developed in cooperation with the City of Alexandria's Department of Recreation, Parks & Cultural Activities and was aided by Code for America and Six Half Dozen.
