What Is The DreamDog Foundation?
Works to build self-esteem, create opportunities of learning and and wellness through multi-media education. DreamDog Foundation strives to get the children to obtain there dreams by believing in themselves using:
- research and evaluation of existing multi-media educational resources on the topics of problem-solving and self-esteem building in young children available in the home or classroom;
- design and production of various kinds of educational materials ranging from picture books, print Braille books and reading books to curriculum guides, audio programs, and video/television programming;
- development and production of new educational media forms including Web, Internet technology, online gaming, interactive toys and other evolving media forms;
- distribution of no or very low cost children’s education materials designed to empower children and developed for various programs that work with disadvantaged children including: shelters for homeless children, head start programs, schools, pre-schools and other facilities serving disadvantaged children
DreamDog Foundation’s Mission
To empower children to learn in unique, dynamic ways through new media and experiential learning, enhancing their self-esteem and ensuring a lifetime love of learning.
Program Highlights
The DreamDog Foundation offers 4 different programs including:
- “Kids Empowering Kids” to make a difference in their world
- Books for Backpacks
- DreamDog in Your School
- Books come Alive — literacy programs for young children to show the excitement and fun awaiting us all inside books!
- Celebration of the Arts to provide expression through music and movement
- Writers’ Funshops to empower children to find and share their special voice
- Poetry Plus — Music, Movement… Rhythm, Rhyme and the magic within us all released through our poetry
- C3 – Creative Core Curriculum — to reach and teach all children through interactive learning
- to better help children realize their potential and reach their dreams.

Come help kick off inauguration weekend with a celebration to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and volunteer! On Saturday, January 19th, hundreds of volunteers will assist nonprofit agencies providing services to people in need as well as provide educational activities to children and youth. In Alexandria, volunteers are needed to assist children and teenagers creating a story book. Volunteers are needed for set up, registration, implementing arts and crafts projects, clean up, and much more. Adult volunteers are needed to facilitate discussion groups with a smaller group of children. Interested adults should contact Jason Ellis at 
On Tuesday September 4th, the transformation of one of Community Lodgings’ five apartment buildings will begin – a full-fledged renovation!
