The Spooky Bean Halloween Haunted Graveyard Opens for a Good Scare on Sunday, Oct. 28

The frightful fun starts after the Del Ray Halloween Parade. Parade marchers step off at 2 p.m. in their costume finery and finish on the fields of the Mount Vernon Recreation Center, where hot dogs and goodie bags will be served.
The graveyard is located in the vacant lot next to Bean Creative, which is sponsoring the event. Del Ray Pizzeria, 2213 Mount Vernon Ave., is located directly across the street. The event is free and fun for kids of all ages.

On Tuesday September 4th, the transformation of one of Community Lodgings’ five apartment buildings will begin – a full-fledged renovation! When I took over as Executive Director seven years ago, I set a long-term goal to ensure all our families lived in safe, comfortable homes. Over the years, out of sheer financial necessity, I was forced to take a “band-aid” approach to building repairs. Seven years later, with help from HomeAid Northern Virginia, Pulte Homes and the City of Alexandria, our long-term goal becomes reality. Code for Alexandria!
